I am currently working on a full redesign, custom Joomla template and site implementation for my friends at Pittsburgh Quarterly Magazine. Meantime, though, I’ve also been asked to work on some cool illustrations that have appeared in the magazine. These are two examples of a series of “hedcuts” I created featuring notable Pittsburghers, in the style of a certain famous financial newspaper. These were really fun, and I think more effective (and consistent) than your typical corporate headshot.
